OnePlus 11 Will Definitely Use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chipset

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the company’s top-tier next-generation processor, which was officially introduced today. Future flagship smartphones will be powered by the recently announced processor.

It is, as its name implies, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which debuted last year. The debut of the chipset occurred a few weeks earlier this time. So, later this year, we’ll start seeing phones with the upgraded CPUs.

The first company to introduce a product with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU will be OnePlus, according to a list of manufacturers that Qualcomm has already released. The OnePlus 11 will be the brand’s first smartphone and one of the first gadgets to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, according to a teaser poster released by OnePlus. The business additionally intends to create the first open platform for mobile optical tracking.

The OnePlus 11, called OnePlus 11-PBH110, was previously revealed to have a 6.7-inch LTPO single-punch hole curved display in a technical mockup that was leaked. It boasts a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 100W rapid charging technology and an optical fingerprint sensor. The phone’s triple camera arrangement on the back has a 50MP+ 8MP+48MP+32MP resolution. The recently unveiled Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has a single prime core running at 3.2 GHz, four performance cores running at 2.8 GHz, and three efficiency cores running at 2.0 GHz. According to the manufacturer, the CPU is 40% more power-efficient and 35% faster than the prior generation.

According to the manufacturer, it has an improved Hexagon processor and the most recent Qualcomm AI Engine, enabling faster multilingual translation and superior AI camera features. It has mobile-optimized support for the Unreal Engine 5 Metahumans Framework and supports real-time hardware-accelerated ray tracing.
